Love This? Save and Share!

Ready to (re)discover glorious French wines from the beautiful Loire Valley? You do not want to miss the Loire Valley Wines Bucket List launching this month in London.

Debuting with a dazzling floral display as part of the Chelsea in Bloom flower festival, a whole host of unmissable events will take place between 23rd May and 30th June 2022 – ranging from Loire Valley supper clubs to exclusive cheese and wine hampers.

Whether you’re in a long, committed relationship with the good stuff, fancy broadening your vino knowledge, or even want to get into wine for the first time (it’s never too late), these Loire Valley Wines Bucket List events are the perfect introduction.

Here’s what you need to know…

About Loire Valley Wines

In case you didn’t know, the chateau-filled Loire Valley sits pretty in the central region of France, smack bang in the middle of the Nantes, Anjou, Saumur, and Touraine provinces. It’s here where the magic happens – the magic being high-quality wine production, of course.

We like to think of ourselves as quite the wine aficionados (the best part of our job is testing out London’s abundance of wine bars, after all), so you can trust us when we say that Loire Valley produces some of the tastiest vino around.

From the crisp and dry Muscadet to the fruity Rosé d’Anjou, whatever your wine preferences are, there’s bound to be a Loire Valley wine that makes your heart sing. For us it’s the sparkling Saumur, in case you were wondering.

Kicking the Loire Valley Wines Bucket List celebrations off is a stunning ‘Drink Me!’ floral display at the ultra-cool wine bar and terrace Mother Vine in Chelsea. Here, you can delve right into the heart of Loire Valley, through a wonderful selection of ‘by the glass’ wines.

Humble Grape Wine Tasting

24th + 25th May

Ready for a feast for the senses? Our favourite vino spot, Humble Grape, will be hosting a number of Loire Valley Wines taster sessions throughout the Bucket List event.

Tickets cost £55 and can be purchased from here for Battersea. You’ll need to be quick though, as the Islington event has already sold out!

Additionally, you can pop into either bar for Tasting Tuesdays where, for just £15, you can indulge in a mini-session, where you’ll get to sample Loire Valley’s flavourful wines – no ticket required.

Flower and Wine Tasting Workshop

26th May

Another Loire Valley Wines Bucket List event that you do not want to miss is the flower and wine workshop at Cheese at Leadenhall. We can’t quite think of a better pairing than wine and cheese, and there’s nowhere more perfect to sample the two than at this Leadenhall Market gem.

Loire Valley Wines Supper Club

8th June

Don’t tell the others, but this is the event we are most excited for. Join Charlotte Kristensen, a.k.a The London Wine Girl, for a Loire Valley wine tasting workshop at Nue Ground that seeks to explore the finest French wines.

The evening begins with a fascinating glimpse into the Loire Valley, as well as an introduction into what makes these wines so special.

Alongside a specially curated menu of seasonal canapés, scallops, and slow lamb, you’ll get to sip the likes of Domaine de Bois Mozé Crémant de Loire⁣⁣⁣⁣ and Thibaud Boudignon, Rosé de Loire 2021⁣⁣⁣⁣ – and there will be plenty more where those came from!
