Grub’s Up! Peckham is Getting a Brand New Food Court

Peckham is getting a brand new place to eat – well actually, many of them.

London loves a food court. This month it is going to be adding one more to its already pretty extensive repertoire of places to chow down on all manner of street food. That’s because Market Place have announced that they’re going to be opening a new location in Peckham on the 15th of July.

If you’re not aware of what Market Place does, know that they basically curate some of the city’s finest food courts. This new Peckham outpost will be their fourth.

For those of you who have been before, it’s said that the new location will look much like the one up in Harrow – lots of exposed industrial matter, hanging plants to beautify the place, long tables and private booths to support some big feasts.

What Food Can You Expect?

So, the big question. What will you be eating at south London’s new foodie hotspot?

The Peckham spot is set to become home to ten vendors – some of them some pretty big hits. If pushed, we’d probably say we’re most excited for KraPow to get something of a semi-independent home.

The Thai restaurant operates out of the kitchens of several pubs around London and this will be their first adventure into non-watering-hole-related venues. We love them for their buttermilk Thai fried chicken sandwiches – you probably will too.

Coming up from Deptford you’ll find Suya & Lobster. These guys do some killer Nigerian food, usually using ingredients from the sea (but also turning out some banging chicken wings).

Baba G’s is also trekking across from Brixton to serve up their signature Bhangra Burgers – chunky lamb burgers further chunked out with all bhajis and other Indian bites.

Last but not least of the vendors to get excited about is Dum Dum Donutterie, a brand that serves up some of the best (read ridiculously pimped-out) doughnuts London has to offer.

Joining these folks will be the equally appetising Argentinian Grill, Pepper & Spice and Farm House Kebab.

Bon appetit, folks!
