For six days from Monday 14 September, the Liverpool Street branch of Joe & The Juice is dropping its sandwich menu, serving breakfast from open to close, and handing over a free breakfast wrap with every coffee, juice or shake.
The offer runs Monday 14 to Saturday 19 September at one store only, the one at 28 to 29 Liverpool Street, about a minute from the station’s Bishopsgate exit. For those six days the usual lunch menu comes off entirely. Breakfast is the only thing they are cooking, and it is on from the moment the doors open until they close.
The condition, because there always is one
The wrap is free with a purchase, not free outright. Buy a coffee, a juice or a shake and the wrap comes with it, which at Joe & The Juice prices puts the real cost of your breakfast somewhere in the region of a flat white. That is still a good deal for a hot breakfast in the City, where a wrap and a coffee on its own would usually run you closer to a tenner.
The genuinely useful bit is the timing
Free food in the City is not exactly rare, and it is usually gone by half eight. What is actually unusual here is the all-day part. Very few places in London will cook you a breakfast wrap at four in the afternoon, and if you work shifts, or you have just come off a long train into Liverpool Street, or you simply like breakfast more than lunch, that is the reason to go rather than the freebie.
Our take: go after the morning rush, not in it. Liverpool Street between eight and nine is one of the least pleasant places in London to try to eat anything, and the whole point of this week is that you do not have to. Turn up at eleven or at three and you will get a seat.
