Sunday Papers Live is bringing roast lunches, Bloody Marys and a live crossword back to Clerkenwell this autumn

Sunday Papers Live is back at Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings in Clerkenwell this autumn, billing itself as London’s largest living room for the day, with a run of three dates spread across September, October and November.

The format is unashamedly analogue: long-form, podcast-style talks from writers, comedians and cultural commentators, roast lunches, Bloody Marys and snacks served throughout the day, multiple rooms of talks, crafts and conversation to explore, and a live-action crossword running the whole time. It’s built around a lineup of speakers exploring the biggest questions of the day, and it’s family and pet friendly, which is rarer than it should be for an event with this much on offer.

Three dates this autumn

Sunday Papers Live returns for Sunday 27 September, Sunday 25 October and Sunday 15 November 2026. As ever, the tagline is “bringing the broadsheets to life”, a live community Sunday built around the idea of a shared living room, rather than a straightforward talks programme.

Expect the format that’s made Sunday Papers Live a fixture on London’s cultural calendar: multiple rooms running simultaneously, so you can drift between a headline conversation, a craft workshop and a quieter corner without committing to one thread for the whole day.

Alongside the talks, there’s always a strong crafts strand, past editions have included weaving, printing and zine-making, giving the day a hands-on counterpoint to the panel discussions.

The London x London Take: the pitch of a roast lunch, Bloody Marys and long-form talks under a room full of newspaper bunting is a genuinely nice antidote to a normal Sunday, and the family and pet-friendly framing makes it more flexible than most talks events. With three dates spread across autumn, there’s no excuse not to make at least one.
