This June, Sir David Attenborough invites you to step inside the story of us, and the planet we call home.
Opening today (19th June) at the Natural History Museum, Our Story with David Attenborough is a brand-new immersive experience that takes visitors on a 50-minute journey through the entire arc of human history. But this isn’t your typical timeline. Projected across the walls and floors of the Jerwood Gallery in full 360°, it’s a deeply personal, cinematic look at how we came to be the most influential species on Earth, and what that means for the planet’s future.

Created in collaboration with award-winning Open Planet Studios, the show blends Attenborough’s unmistakable narration with real-world footage and cutting-edge projection design.
It begins over four billion years ago and moves through major evolutionary turning points, from the rise of early humans to our impact on whales, gorillas and the ecosystems we all rely on. There’s wonder, there’s warning and a quiet optimism that we can still write a better next chapter.
Attenborough himself describes it as “a reflection on how far we’ve come, and what’s still possible if we act together.” Hearing that message surrounded by cinematic sound and immersive visuals makes it hit that much harder.
Tickets start at £20 and are on sale now. The experience will run until January 2026.
