Space Explorers: The ISS Experience is now open at Eclipso London on Camden High Street, for a limited run until September.
Fewer than 300 people have ever visited the International Space Station. For the rest of us, there’s now a basement in Camden.
Space Explorers: The ISS Experience, the Emmy Award-winning free-roaming VR experience built from real footage filmed aboard the ISS during actual NASA missions, has made its European debut at Eclipso London on Camden High Street. It has already been seen by over 500,000 people across Montreal, Houston, San Francisco, Shanghai and Singapore. London is now on that list, and it’s running until September.

The format is worth explaining because it’s what sets this apart from other immersive experiences. This isn’t a chair ride or a 360-degree cinema. You physically walk through a full-scale 3D recreation of the ISS, built by layering a detailed architectural model over real filmed footage. The result is that you’re not watching a simulation of space, you’re moving through actual footage of it, with real astronauts, real conversations, real Earth views from 250 miles up. The people who’ve been to it consistently reach for the same word: overwhelming.

The overview effect, the phenomenon astronauts describe when they first see Earth from space and feel an irreversible shift in perspective, is the emotional target of the whole experience. The footage achieves it more often than you’d expect from a Camden basement.
It runs approximately 35 to 40 minutes, is suitable for ages 8 and up, and books out regularly so advance booking via Fever is strongly recommended. One thing worth flagging: the venue requires descending two flights of stairs and is not wheelchair accessible, so plan accordingly.
Book it with a canal walk and some time in the market afterwards and you’ve got a genuinely good afternoon.
The London x London Take: London’s immersive experience scene is crowded, but this one has genuine substance behind it. Real footage, real scale, real emotional weight. Worth the price of the ticket.
