July is peak London summer, and the city knows it. The outdoor events hit full stride, the parks are busy until the light finally gives out at nine o’clock, and the cultural calendar refuses to let up just because the weather has got good. Outdoor cinema, rooftop bars, canalside screenings, free festivals on commons and in squares: July is the month London earns its reputation as a city worth living in.
The music season is also at its most intense: major headline shows, festival weekends in parks across the city, and the kind of one-off events that only happen when a promoter knows they can get 20,000 people to show up on a warm Saturday evening.
